Angels Among Us
Caroline’s Cause put this video together to give Caroline a way to thank all the wonderful people out there that have given her the love and care that she desperately needs until the cure is found. Without EVERYONE contributing Caroline would not be where she is today. As the saying goes..”it takes a village to raise a child” God sent Caroline a village of angels!
Thank you all for caring.

Saturday is Church Day
Saturday evening is church day for our family. We attend Lives Changed by Christ (LCBC) Church in Manheim Pa. This church is a very large church and anything but the typical church that I have known growing up. It has over 9,000 members across three … Continue reading
With a Little Help from My Friends
Last week was nutso. Gateway dropped Caroline’s Primary Care Physician (PCP), which disrupted her Medicaid insurance. What does this mean? Well, in the insurance world—particularly in the Medicaid world—you must have a PCP to get anything done. The PCP is the doctor who writes referrals … Continue reading

Believe: The Director’s Cut
Yesterdays’ video, Believe, was hugely popular! In fact, with 78 page views, it was THE most popular post ever on Caroline’s Cause. Today’s video is also pretty cool. Tony told me this was his practice video, where he figured out how … Continue reading
Believe!
Tony made this. You can tell he worked hard on it and I think it came out perfect. You can watch his family’s story with Caroline unfold, even as you learn some facts about Rett syndrome and enjoy TSO’s, Believe. I didn’t … Continue reading

Eleven Going On Thirty: Big Sister Riley
Riley is Caroline’s big sister. I wanted to profile everyone in the family, so I asked Tony to tell me a little about this picture. From Tony: Well, the day we took this picture Riley was asking a lot of questions about Caroline’s care. … Continue reading
A BFG (Big Friendly Giant) Named Tony
When she was about ten years old, my daughter insisted I read Roald Dahl’s wonderful, The BFG. If you’re like me and have never had the pleasure, The BFG is a lovely children’s story about a large and terrifying giant who turns … Continue reading
Happy Father’s Day, You Fathers of Rett Girls
The dirty little secret about Caroline’s Cause is this: we are amateurs. Amateur bloggers, amateur community organizers, and medical laymen (except for Lisa, who is a bona fide nurse). But Rett Syndrome doesn’t strike only those of us who are well … Continue reading
